LPIC2 sar command configuration on Fedora
-
In my world, RedHat variants are the only distributions I am using.
So i utilize Fedora Server 35 to learn RedHat linux and I am attempting to follow along with the LPIC2 course with dpezet. I had to install the sysstat utility so I did sudo dnf install sysstat
<version 12.5.6 was installed> .
I do not have a cron.d folder as the installation of sysstat did not create it. I do have crontab , cron.hourly , cron.daily etcetera . Do I need to create a crontab folder and insert a sysstat file? I did create a cron job in crontab.
I did not have a /etc/default/sysstat file but I created one and the only uncommented entry is ENABLED="true"Isn't the LPIC vendor neutral? If that is the case, training on Fedora seems relevant. In my case, I will try another distribution while going through the course. But if this course is going to be taught exclusively on debian, I should reconsider it's value to my goals. Please confirm that LPIC is vendor neutral and that sometimes, there will be demonstrations that utilize RedHat variants. If I decided to take the LPIC2, is it valid to believe that setting up sysstat in RedHat is a potential testable subject?
Please help me get this sar issue completed
