Course errors

In the Accelerated CCENT Legacy course in TCP/IP under Network Fundamentals, at the 13:25 mark, Todd Lammle says, this is 10.1.5 not 10.1.5. when he should've said, this is 10.1.5 not 10.1.1.5.
-
-
Then in the Easy Subnetting section at 22:22, it appears he wrote 92 instead of 96.
-
Also, at 46:41 Todd wrote 212 instead of 208 when counting by 16.
I guess he was right earlier (and later) referencing on needing to check his own math.:grinning_face_with_sweat:

In the Class B Subnetting section at 14:23, that answer of 165-174 looks weird 2 me.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:
-
In the IPv6 section at around 2:58, he correctly says billion at least twice, but mistakenly says million when discussing the availability of IPv4 addresses.
-
-
- Also in the IPv6 section at around 4:49 - 4:55, he mentions the 4.4.4.4 were addresses to Google servers.
I presume he meant 8.8.4.4 (as this is Google's secondary DNS server) because 4.4.4.4 is assigned to LEVEL3.

We didn't catch those error back in the day. Now those course have been replaced. I'm not saying those same errors don't happen...
This tends to happen as we're not scripted. All of our courses are taught as if they are live before a class. Then, we were. We were teaching live across the internet on a daily basis. This was part of ITProTV's concept--non scripted, teaching directly to the live audience.
Today, that is less likely to happen as we have more capacity and time to shoot courses and stop.

@Ronnie-Wong Gotta say it was fun watching the retro-sodes; the tequila references:clinking_beer_mugs: , him drilling ya on the subnetting & 16 counts, him slipping up himself sometimes especially on the typing, you
correcting...ahem"supporting" him:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes: , the clear ip nat translations (but we're not going to talk about that 1:shushing_face: or to my boss:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:).Couldn't help it. I just HAD 2 bring them up. Who knows, next it could be Wendell Odom (unless you all already featured him on a course)?

LOTSA golden nuggets there & many are still relevant!:star:

From times to times, I like looking back & comparing the then to now including finding errors such as the Switching Technologies under the heading LAN Switching Technologies of the CCENT Legacy (August/September 2013 ver.) course at 3:20 when Don (surprisingly enough) says something incorrectly, "....a hub is a Layer 2 dumb device" when in fact it's an inherent Layer 1 physical device.
He attempts to correct himself moments later about the switch's layer, even though he was already correct, but didn't realize that his statement about the hub earlier was incorrect. Good thing Ronnie was standing right next to him to correct him (3:49). 😁
Not to mention, Don HILARIOUSLY bloopers at 1:38:52, by almost "violating" typing in switchport port-security violation
shitdown.🤣 Yes, agree to agree that the letter 'i' and 'u' on the keyboard are so close together.🤭 -
@Ronnie-Wong :cool_button::white_exclamation_mark: Gotta admit, I am impressed you all were/are able to do this live & unscripted! Yet, I expect nothing less from the tech (super)heroes aka IT Pros:winking_face:.

DON'T EVER DELETE THESE ARCHIVED/LEGACY VIDEOS (ANYTIME SOON) FOR THEY ARE (IN)VALUABLE! Thank you!🙇🏽♂️

Thanks so much for the feedback Ken - and I need to go and watch some of this "legacy" content!
