Azure Training Plan.

Hi all, Trust all are keeping safe. I would be grateful if you can assist in pointing me in the right direction. I will soon inherit a basic Azure setup, there is a DC in Azure which links back to an premise DC. I will be tasked in taking this environment over, the plan is to create an application server, hosting SQL express, I will then need to create and host 10 virtual desktops. The long term goal would be to decommission all local domain controllers and migrate all applications to the cloud. What courses do you recommend I take to allow me to both administer, support and grow my Azure environment, I will need to focus on security and access controls. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance, and please keep safe.

I hope all is well. My apologies, as your question slipped by me, and I did not see it until just now, 6 days after you original post, or I would have answered you sooner.
So, very exciting set of opportunities that you are being given, and a lot to consider to ensure everything runs smoothly.
In terms of creating a specific path, and what courses would help you, consider the following:
- AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals)
- AZ-103 (Microsoft Azure Administrator)
- AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator (beta)) Updates to the AZ-103 certification
- AZ-500 (Azure Security Technologies)
That should be good to get you started....
If you have questions along the way, please be in touch as needed... My direct e-mail is: adam@itpro.tv
Good Luck !!
Cheers,
Adam

No problem at all. Many thanks.

Hi @Adam-Gordon .
Today I have completed the AZ-900 course and would like to continue.
While waiting for the AZ-104 course to be completed, can you advise me to start the AZ-103 anyway? Checking it seems to me that some topics are identical, so I guess the same shows are used.
Thanks. -
Good day, I hope all is well.
Yes, you can start with the AZ-103 course. The AZ-104 "update" will be available in the next few weeks, but there is very minimal additional content that the 104 update is adding ( approx. 14 episodes or so).
The AZ-104 exam is largely based on the AZ-103 exam with a few updates for newer technologies or services.
You will be able to use the AZ-103 course as the content in it does not change for the AZ-104 exam.
Cheers,
Adam

@Adam-Gordon said in Azure Training Plan.:
hi, just finished AZ-900. whats frustrating is that it would be nice to add/select courses to a kind of list so that you can work through the list. In addition, it would be better also, if you could put the dates of the course when it was updated. It would help a lot. Just a couple of suggestions that would improve the website.

I hope all is well. The suggestions are always appreciated !!! we have a specific process to gather these up so that we can get them to the correct team that can put them into the update request queue.
Can you please e-mail them to: support@itpro.tv
Thank you so much for taking the time to share the feedback on ways we can continue to improve the ITPROTV experience for you.
If I can be of any help as you pursue the next stages of your learning journey, please let me know.
