technado

is there no more technado?
thanks

Technado had an episode on Wednesday or thursday. Shenanigans were had!
-
I find new episodes of Technado on the IT Pro YouTube channel every Thursday. I believe they record new episodes every Thursday at 10:00-ish. I could be wrong, however.
-
Speaking of Technado and its "new" format, are they now and forever a security-only podcast? I loved the coverage of tech as a whole, with diverse stories. May have to get my networking and hardware content elsewhere.
-
@David-Thompson, yeah i'm wondering about that too. Do you have any suggestions? I have a list of podcasts I listen to every now and then:
Sysadmin Today
Hacked
2.5 Admins
Windows Weekly
The Wan Show
The Art of Network Engineering
The Homelab Show
Hardware AsylumI'm always on the lookout of new tech/IT podcasts too :)
-
Love the Art of Network Engineering, @Andrew-Despres. I also suggest:
- Cables2Clouds (friends of the AONE guys and a great group as well).
- Packet Pushers.
- The Broadcast Storm (Kevin Wallace's podcast).
- PCPerspective Podcast (hardware-based).
Note: There's also a podcast featuring Network Chuck and David Bombal called, I believe, This is IT!, but I don't know how up-to-date they are on episodes.
I understand the impact of cybersecurity in today's age, can appreciate the need for it, and certainly study the topics as related to my role and the Network Engineer role I want to get into, but the breadth of tech news they used to discuss and the more general nature to Technado was what drew me in originally. Cybersecurity is not my passion, so their apparent push to the topic as its apparent 100% subject matter is pushing me elsewhere. I also realize I'm probably in the minority on this.

@David-Thompson, thanks for your other recommendations! I'll definitely take a look at them.
I think the "This is IT" podcast is defunct now. There hasn't been anything on there for years.
Another one to consider for generic talk about the tech/IT industry would be "This Week in Tech (TWiT)". Good ol' Leo Laport! haha

I used to love TWiT's This Week in Computer Hardware with Patrick Norton, but Leo got rid of it.
