Using Web Layout: Exam Objective vs Episode Listing

Apologies for the elementary level of questioning...new member/first time user here
I've noticed each certification module is set up in a couple of different ways. You can either utilize the exam objective view where each is broken down by exam objective/concept or there is the tab for all episodes view listing all episodes recorded pertaining to the course/certification.
Which is the better layout to use when trying to accomplish a certification?
Should I click one after another along the exam objective view in which will take me to already viewed content at times or should I try to utilize the organization of the order of episodes recorded oldest to newest?
Maybe I'm confused how the exam objective lists all objectives according to the certification vs episode listing. For example security+ has 6 exam objectives with a total of 42 hyperlinked associations but the episode content only consists of 15 episodes. I can understand that some episodes will cover more than one objective/concept, I just need to know how to follow the episodes properly to start from point A (knowing nothing about a certification) to point B (ready to take and pass an exam).
Are the episode lists arranged from oldest to newest the best route to use and does it cover the objectives in order so for example if configuring a router is covered at the start of episode 2 you would have covered say router physical setup in episode 1 already?

Nick,
Great question. We post the episode list in multiple formats because different people prefer to learn different ways. Personally, I like to learn in the order of the objectives so I would recommend the "Exam Objectives" view. Using that view ensures that I am studying similar concepts together, as opposed to jumping around from concept to concept. However, some people prefer to watch the shows in the chronological order in which we recorded them which is where the "All Episodes" list comes in. The only issue with this method is that we don't always record shows in a logical order. We may choose to record a particular topic one day because we have the equipment available in our lab, or we might skip over an objective because we are waiting on a particular piece of equipment to come in or get configured. As a result, watching them in chronological order can be confusing for someone just starting out.
At the end of the day, it comes down to whichever method you prefer. We are currently working on a system to help you track which episodes you have watched and which ones you have not which we hope to have ready in the next few months. Until then, you can use your web browser's history function to see what episodes have already been viewed. If you have followed a link in the past, the web browser should render the link in a different color than a link you have never visited before.
I hope that helps,
Don
