Auto-Restoring of Network Images after Network Boot
-
Regardless of whether I press "N" to boot from the network or choose a Network Disk Image beforehand from Start Up Disk, the Network Image automatically begins the restoration process after it finishes booting from the network. It doesn't give me a choice on which drive to restore to, it just does it on its own. I also HAVE NOT customized the package for Automated Installation? What's going on? Why won't it let me choose which drive to restore to after booting from network?
Thanks.

If you cannot choose a drive, this might occur if there is a software corruption or hardware issue with your Mac.
-
Try to boot into the internet recovery mode (alt-cmd-R), verify that you can see the destination HDD (or SSD) there.
-
If it doesn't show up, the drive may not be detected for hardware issues.

If you see it, it could just be a logical corruption, select the physical disk and do a first aid or repair or verify ( I cannot remember the options it gives you) Make sure you also repair the permissions too.
Others on our forums may have some other options you can try!
