I followed the very instructive videos on how to setup SFTP server with password authentication. Can anyone help with setting it up with public key authentication?

I had to ask Don who did the show.
He writes that if you setup SFTP with password authentication and combine it with the SSH using certificate authentication. You will end up with SFTP using certificate based authentication.
Don also says in the near future, he'll probably shoot a video for it to combine both but it is possible if you do both on your own.
