Any chance of a Red Hat course
-
I was curious if there was a chance of there being a Red Hat RHCA or RHCE or any other Linux based courses coming in the future.
-
That would be nice, say have a class on CentOS for licensing issues. RH just refer the exam RHCE/RHCA for version 7.
-
I also think that a Red Hat course would be awesome.

Hello!
RedHat is not currently on our schedule right now. Though, it could be in our future it would not be for the RedHat certification due to fact that you can only sit for the exam only if you complete the official certification training with their authorized providers.
I will add your request to our show request list. Keep checking our calendar page to see what will be coming up but thanks for requesting.

@Ronnie-Wong I would also like a class on RHCSA. I would also like to see classes on Middleware components as well, such as Jboss or WebSphere.

Chad,
I will add those to the official request list as well. Thanks for letting us know what you're interested in seeing.

Firstly I'd like to also give another vote for more Linux stuff.

Hello Ronnie,
I would like to see additional Linux Certifications.
Except for the Linux+ Cert, what other certifications related to Linux is ITproTV thinking about offering? Do you happen to know the schedule for them?
Perhaps the LPI? And maybe a course on CentOS in the list of courses where I saw Wireshark and Email Encryption, the kind of "Other" section.

Sorry for not seeing this post before the weekend. Right now, the schedule is demand driven and so usually whatever gets highly demanded even drives out courses that we may have already planned to record. But right now, the new CompTIA Linux+ is what we have planned for the near future.

Just so you all know, I got my RHCSA a couple of weeks ago. I went through all the Linux+ videos, some multiple times. Then, I took the red hat boot camp followed by the exam and passed on the first try. It took me 2 months from start to finish and I had never used Linux before in my life. My boss promised me a promotion to a better job if I could get the RHCSA, so, I went for it. Master the topics in the Linux + videos and you will have 75% of what the red hat courses teach.

My vote for more Linux material. I just took the Certified Linux Administrator from the Linux Foundation. They are not playing around! The exam was pretty hard. It is 100% CLI. No multiple choice.. The exam is also very different than any exam I've taken before. You must have a web cam. They watch you, they present the things you must do and they record how you do it. They take up to three day to comeback with the results. In a few words, you better now what you are doing and be VERY GOOD and text editing!.

Would it be possible to create a course for the LFCS exam?
I ask because of the new offer from Microsoft. If you pass the 70-533 (Azure IaaS) exam along with the LFCS exam, you are granted the MCSA: Linux on Azure.

@elasticskywalker
This is good info to know! Definitely something we will consider. -
Just wanted to add my support for getting more Linux material, especially RedHat. I'm working with my manager to convince my company to get us a group subscription here, and most of our teams work on RedHat systems, so it would be a huge benefit to us.

Though, it could be in our future it would not be for the RedHat certification due to fact that you can only sit for the exam only if you complete the official certification training with their authorized providers. The above statement is false. You do not have to complete an official training with any authorized provider to sit for their exams. I have 4 Redhat Certifications (RHCSA 6/7 and RHCE 6/7) . Didn't attend any official training. And it is clearly stated on their website that you do not have to attend any official training, but it will be beneficial. However, for their basic certs RHCSA and RHCE, it will be a waste of money.
Thank you
