Any chance of a Red Hat course
-
Just wanted to add my support for getting more Linux material, especially RedHat. I'm working with my manager to convince my company to get us a group subscription here, and most of our teams work on RedHat systems, so it would be a huge benefit to us.

@Ronnie-Wong
RedHat is not currently on our schedule right now. Though, it could be in our future it would not be for the RedHat certification due to fact that you can only sit for the exam only if you complete the official certification training with their authorized providers.The above statement is false. You do not have to complete an official training with any authorized provider to sit for their exams. I have 4 Redhat Certifications (RHCSA 6/7 and RHCE 6/7) . Didn't attend any official training. And it is clearly stated on their website that you do not have to attend any official training, but it will be beneficial. However, for their basic certs RHCSA and RHCE, it will be a waste of money.
Thank you

Hey thanks for letting us know It's been our assumption that this was a requirement that you attend an official Red Hat Training. But now that it's not, that's great news. We were shocked though to see the price of each exam though was now 400 USD.
The content on our site is really customer driven so, when demand rises and people up-vote this through the course request, we'll probably record that content as well.

Hello Ronnie,
I think that the demand for the Red Hat certification is up there. The request for this certification is on #4 at this time.

Thank you,

I see that there is a Red Hat course that started recording last week! Not having time to watch it live, I am REALLY looking forward to streaming / downloading it. Any details on when it will be available, and what areas of Red Hat it is intended to cover? (general install/use of GUI, vs RHCSA / RHCE prep, vs other)
Whatever it is, thank you for doing it! RedHat is in demand. I am taking RHCE in Feb, so I'll take any help I can get!

That show is in production right now. We've made it a Tech Skills Show on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This will give you real world implementation that will help you as you study for your exams but it will not necessarily be based on the exam objectives normally provided by the exam creators.
Don Pezet and Daniel Lowrie are doing a great job at showing the ins and out of working with Red Hat.
The production goal of all of our shows is that they are up and available in the 24 to 48 hr time period after the show has been recorded. Barring unforeseen delays and usually weekends (for example episodes recorded on Fridays will probably not be processed on the weekend at ITProTV) the episodes should be on the website rather quickly.

with no additional posting in quite a long time, I'm marking this solved.
