Step-by-step video and add extra notes with the new A+
-
Hello I am currently studying for the A+ 220 1101 220 1102 certification exams. When Wes is giving demonstrations within this content, mainly the virtual Labs in the videos, can he please share a step-by-step process of how is starting this and ending this process. There is a couple of episodes where he just began talking he never provided how he opened up for example, DNS or how to open a router. Now my question is this to make things just a little bit more clearer for me, I am going to use some of the A+ 1001/1002 as extra study materials as well will this be a good idea? To add in conjuction with the new A+ as extra study notes

Hey @Dwayne-Coleman , if I have notes to share I will most certainly share them with you. Can you give me the specific episode in question?

In the Network Host, How are you opening up the labs for the following and what labs currently are you using I just need a step-by-step process of how this is being done yes notes will be great if you have them :
(1.) Active Directory.
(2.) DNS Domain Name System.
(3.) DHCP.
(4.) Print Server.
(5.) Sys-log Servers.
This in the Network Host Section -
Can you give me the specific episode in which "Network Hosts" is mentioned?
-
I have two questions ?Network Hosts and Services that's the section I was seeing or missing the following steps on how to the actually perform the tasks as well( Active Directory, , DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol DNS Domain Name System Printer Server, System Log). Also can we use and lab to do accomplish this lab as well?
My second question I am currently in the wireless section of the A+ certification section 220-1101, do you think it would be wise to for me to obtain extra information to watch the videos for the A+ 1001 section dealing with wireless because you have a lot of meat in the old A+ 220-1001 section as well?

If you are asking for the steps to set up Active Directory, DNS, and syslog, there aren't any notes as this was a demo to convey the concepts. The setup and deployment of these technologies is beyond the scope of this exam but can be seen in our Windows Server training and Linux shows (for syslog). If you have access to Practice-Labs, this is a great way to practice these concepts, however they are not something required by the exam. The depth of the information was based on the follow exam requirements:
220-1001 2.1 Compare and contrast TCP and UDP ports, protocols, and their purposes.
220-1101 2.4 Summarize the properties and purposes of services provided by networked hosts.
-
But what labs are you using or how did you even open them up from the beginning?
-
In other words what practice labs do I need to be using to perform this exercise? Because more than likely Ill have to do this on the A+ 1101 exam test.

Hey @Dwayne-Coleman, there aren't any notes on this demo as this was a lab from the 220-1102 labs. You will not be required to perform these steps on the exam and where a demonstration to help reenforce the concepts.
