Book(s) for A+ Prep
-
Hello! Are there any books (or other supplemental materials) we should be using in conjunction with the A+ prep course and labs, or is the information covered in them sufficient?
-
This all depends on your familiarity with the content of the exam objectives. If you do not have a copy of the exam objectives. Please make sure you look at them and use them as a guide to help you prepare.
The ITProTV A+ courses are based on those objectives and making sure we covered those objectives to the level as described in those objectives.
If you' review a topic covered in an episode and still not sure what is being discussed, whatever supplemental material should give you context and help you to understand that topic better.
We do not have any material that is directly matched up with our courses. The great thing is any supplemental material shouldcover th same objectives just as our episodes do--maybe in a different order but the same material.

Along with ITProTV, I recommend the Mike Meyers A+ book. Very in-depth and informative.

I agree with @David-Thompson (Mike Meyers has been the leading CompTIA A+ guru for a long time):
Another one I have used is:

David L. Prowse is one who writes a lot of the Exam Cram series. I have his A+ and Net+ Exam Cram books. Very detailed and to-the-point.
