Layer 3 (SVI) routing with Cisco switch
-
Hi all,
I want to setup a Cisco CBS250-16T-2G switch for layer 3 (SVI) routing. The gateway for the switch will be an OPNsense firewall/router.
Home network (/24), about 5 VLANS. The CBS250 requires static IP routing when using its layer 3 capabilities.
Are there any ITPro videos that will work well for guiding me through this configuration process? I assume I will also need to configure the router for handling NAT of the VLANs on the switch.

Not specifically for that switch. You will have to work through their gui interface. It may make it easier for you to do so.
We do it on the regular cisco switches that run IOS from the CLI in our Cisco courses.
You can setup your NAT in OPNsense...so not that's not to bad. If you're only using a single trunk to the Firewall. You may have to configure virtual interfaces on OPNsense for your VLANs to be recognized.
