Linux+ XK0-005 vs 004

I am currently preparing for my Linux+ exam and the current course is about 17 hours. Which seemed a little lite to me. So, I was going through the legacy courses and they were all 22-24 hours.
Did CompTIA actually make an exam easier compared to earlier versions?
Did Linux standardize some things across distros to combine/shed some material?Just curious as to why it seems less comprehensive now.

Joshua,
This is all about a matter of perspective and experience. The latest course is more focused on action based learning. We've changed our format to 20 minutes per episode. We're focused on "showing how to do it" rather than "talking about how to do it." So the lecture in more inline than "explain and then do." The episodes are more focused on that exact task at hand and not so much setup and explaining scenarios. This has saved us significant time. -
Makes sense, thank you Ronnie.
I have noticed that the course is much more peppered with knowledge than many other courses I've taken.

The exam can clearly go in many directions, but just letting everyone know that iptables was fairly prominent on the exam I took today. It kind of threw me for a loop because I was expecting more on newer technologies. The 2 PBQs weren't crazy hard, mostly an issue with too many options and degrees of ambiguity. IE, I still don't understand the exact goal of scripting scenario, but I am fairly certain I got 90% of the 6-7 ish fill in the blanks correct.
Anyway, I comfortably passed after quite a bit of preliminary general linux play (proxmox has been a great tool), going through the ACI course, going through the Pluralsight course and finally the ACI course again. No practice tests, no flash cards, just did a fair amount of the prescribed work and went off on some of my own tangents. I got to say the PS course is 10 hours longer and probably isn't going to help as much as reviewing the ACI version multiple times. IE, too many rabbit holes and wasn't as relatable. I never found myself trying to recall information from a specific part of the PS course, but there were many times I was trying to replay the ACI one in my head to answer a question.

Congrats on this great work!
