Motherboards to practice
-
I'm more of a "hands on" learner. Does anyone know or have any suggestions as to where I can buy some complete motherboards sets. I've looked on Amazon, most are similar to like a science project kits, would that be something good for me to start with or does anyone have any suggestions where I can maybe find something similar? Any help would be appreciated.

I would just buy a used tower pc from like ebay and take it apart carefully and use the proper safety precautions like do not open the power supply unit, standing on a esd mat or wearing a esd wrist brace, etc. and then put the pc back together.

Try craigslist.org and see if there are any computers, laptops for sale, working or not. Sometimes, large companies like warehouses, offices, etc will have legacy (old) pc's and even servers you can have for free.
Just curious, what do you want to do with the motherboards? Study the sizes, or the components? I understand how you might be better with hands on, but go to a motherboard retail site and research gaming PC's. You can also do an exercise to build your ultimate gaming PC, which will get you more familiar with many more items inside the pc case like RAM, slots, pins, USB, Bluetooth, etc.

@Freddy
Thanks for the information. I just actually see what everything looks like in actual size and just get familiar with look and feel of what I'll be working with, basically. Thanks again for the ideas. I'll definitely keep those in mind. Stay safe! -

Thanks for the idea and especially about the safety precautions, being a safety supervisor, I appreciate it. Stay Safe! -
I agree with the others. Definitely get a used tower. I got one on Facebook Marketplace for $30. It's perfect for hands-on training.
