    Hi there guys and girls

    Hope you are doing well

I have been working through the information on Ethical hacking. It's been super informative. I think though my interests are definitely on the more defensive/security side so how to harden systems against attackers and how to help spot malware and other breaches into a system, e.c.t

And was basically after any courses that you would recommend

    Stay safe

    Hello!

From my experience, you have to have solid foundations of network, systems, and even cloud environments if you're going to secure them. If you do not, then concepts remain only that. So what you need to associate those concepts with networking, systems and cloud knowledge too.

If you already have a foundation level understanding, then I would recommend that you start with CompTIA Security+ then CompTIA CySA+. The Sec+ is foundation of concepts and context. CySA+, has some overlap, but begins your Blue Team journey.

If you do not, then I recommend you start with CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+...this will give you the foundation of systems and networking. Today, in 2023, at this we may want to add CompTIA Cloud+ as systems within companies rely on services that lie beyond our on-premises environment while keeping in sight Security+ and CySA+ too.

    Cordially,
