What is the correct pairing of wire colors for the T568B Wiring Standard?

If the Comp TIA+ test asks me "What is the correct pairing of wire colors for the T568B Wiring Standard?" What would be the best answer?

Hey @Robert-Perrett, great question. The main area to focus on are the transmit and receive wiring/pins. For 568A the transmit wires are green/white & green (pins 1/2) and the receive wires are orange & white & orange (pins 3/6). The 568B standard reverses these color pairs (or orange/white & orange for pins 1/2 and green/white & green for pins 3/6). Another thing to remember is that a straight-through cable uses only one standard on each end of the Ethernet cable, while a crossover cable has 568A on one end and 568B on the opposite end of the Ethernet cable, creating a crossover cable. It is called a "crossover cable" because pins 1&2 and 3&6 will "crossover" internally in the cable. Here is a great little article from a cable vendor called true Cable: https://www.truecable.com/blogs/cable-academy/t568a-vs-t568b
