Intro to Cybersecurity

Howdy IT Pros!
I have been looking into different areas of IT for my next step career wise and Cybersecurity is super interesting to me. What would be the best introduction to Cybersecurity in your view? I have been working in IT for 15 years and have the A+ and Server+ certs as well as the Google Workspace Professional Administrator cert. In my current and previous roles I have had quite a bit of experience with networking basics, hardware/software troubleshooting and customer service soft skills.
Is the Sec+ any good? What about something from ISC2? I'm a little overwhelmed with choice.
Thank you!

I have done both Sec+ and ISC2 CC. I found the materials for Sec+ better. In theory ISC2 CC is cheaper but you have to pay a yearly fee so they get their money eventally.

When it comes to industry recognition...CompTIA Security+ is recognized world-wide and required by DoD for anyone who may be contracting with with under the "8570" (it's something different now, but most people still refer to it this way). Have sat for both exams. The depth of Security+ is broader and more technically challenging. the ISC2 "Certified in Cybersecurity" is really more definitional and is actually very limited. With your experience, I believe you may want to move forward with CompTIA Security+

Might also consider checking out the Certified Ethical Hacker. Daniel has some killer content on the CEH.
