Hi everyone,
Im new here to the IT world, going through my comptia itf course. Not sure if its called data centre technician/ engineer ,what courses would be recommend for this type of field? Im more of a hands on guy if it helps. Many thanks in advance for all the tips! -
If I was new to the IT world and wanted to get a job as a Data Center Technician, I would start with the fundamentals - this means CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+. At that point, I would then seek out more Data Center specific training from a specific vendor. As examples, there are Data Center specific training offerings and certifications available from both Cisco and Juniper. These are the two giants in the industry.
Notice it is a long, but rewarding journey. Resist the urge to try and move through the training too quickly.

@Alexandros-Vasilis,
As always, @Anthony-Sequeira-0 has sound advice.
A data center technician, administrator is have the same skills as a System Administrator, or Server Administrator but today may involve more. All of which we do have skills courses within catalog to help you. The easiest way to figure that out is to find a job role for a company you're interested in applying for and see what the job duties or qualifications are requiring. Many if not all of those will be covered in some fashion on our site.
