Bend Radius Effect On Connections

What does a bend radius on fiber optic cabling cause for a connection? Does it cause latency in bandwidth or does it stop transmission cold?

It doesn't stop the signal cold but it does introduce additional problems. When the Fiber Optic cable is bent more acutely than the TIA standard ( min 2" bend radius) then light can be lost through the cladding as the cladding is stretched apart. Now saying that, if you of course bend it in half and break the cable you will stop the transmission cold.
