BIOS

Hi, my HP p6000 Bios looks somewhat limited in terms of adjustment I can play with. Is there a way to circumvent that or should i think 'this is as good as it gets!' TIA

Some systems have a pretty limited BIOS in them. I have seen some Toshiba Satellite systems where the BIOS only contained the option to change the boot order and enable numlock on boot. That being said, most desktop PCs have a lot more options. I did some quick research and it looks like HP hasn't released a single BIOS update for the P6000 series so you are most likely stuck with what you have.
If you want to mess around with a full featured BIOS you could always check out some of the BIOS simulators around the internet. I particularly like this one:

I had an old gateway PC that had a locked BIOS. I was able to find the model of the board and try to flash its non OEM BIOS. It didn't work in my case and I wouldn't suggest it as you could destroy any chance of it booting again. But I like to tinker with stuff like that now and then.
