New Premium Virtual Labs Launched Today!
-
Hey ITProTV Members!
Today the ITProTV Team is proud to announce the launch of our new Premium Virtual Labs. This is a new product that we've envisioned bringing to our members for a long time.
For much of ITProTV's existence, we've been trying to bring Cisco, VMWare and EC Council labs but haven't had a way to do so in the manner that we thought would benefit our members until now. Today we launch that product line here: https://itpro.tv/vlabs/ You'll notice a
pricetag
icon next to our premium labs. Access to these labs will be an additional cost if you choose to take advantage of these labs. The cost is $49.00 USD for each of these sets of labs and you will get 12 months of access. You can access the virtual labs through the ITProTV website by clicking on
MORE
in the upper right hand corner, selectingVirtual Labs(VLABS)
Then, on the bottom of the blue border you'll see the lab options and the ones with the price tag will be the premium options. Thanks for choosing ITProTV!

Ronnie... my eyesight isn't so great... and going full screen doesn't make the session appear any larger... is there any way that can be adjusted to enlarge the display of the virtual screen?
-
I will see if this is possible. I'm checking in right now over a slow connection and will have to be in the morning before I can try. Will let you know here if so! :)
-
I just had a look through and I am very curious to see how you guys are doing the cisco vlabs.
I have a question about pricing. Is it $49.00 per lab per year, or $49.00 per year all labs included?
-
@Daniel-Espinal
It's $49 per lab for 12 months of access. Hope this clarifies. If not, let us know! Thanks - -
When doing a VLab, is there a way to save your progress? I've ran into it where I get into a lab then something comes up so I have to leave. Which means next time i'm free I have to start from step 1. Maybe its obvious and i'm not seeing it.
Thanks!

According to the Official Practice Labs User Guide (v. 2.0 - 14 December 2016):
Q: Can I save my work? A: Unfortunately, you are unable to save your work from one Lab Guide to another, or when you log out. Each Lab Guide is modular and autonomous, making saving unnecessary by design. You can use the Intranet file upload feature to store files for future usage. This feature will be coming soon.
I'm not sure if there has been an update since this guide was published but you can submit a ticket to support@practice-labs.com and let them know that you're an ITProTV subscriber asking if they've updated the policy. They are our lab solution partner and are very responsive.
-
@Ronnie-Wong Thanks for the reply
-
For other subscribers. This is the response I got.
"Thank you for contacting us, we are currently developing a feature that will enable us to save the states of the labs. But unfortunately we cannot provide an eta on this. We will take note down your email address and inform you once progress has been made towards this.
We will be closing this ticket now, if you have any other questions or would like to re-open this ticket please don't hesitate to reply to this email.
Kind regards,
Ryan

Great thread! Looks like you all have come along ways since then!
How about some mac labs, please?...
Here are some partial, related quotes from another thread I created last night:
...btw: Where are the labs for mac? I discussed it with support, which was extremely helpful. And it's apparently an Apple thing having 2b exclusively on apple hardware. I am really hoping you guys get that worked out bc I would really really like to have that and is why I came to your site. How do I setup my OWN mac in a VMWare box in Windows? I have found tutorials online and started following them. Big mistake! My test computer was acting really weird and I can only imagine what and where that was going. So I re-imaged and haven't messed with it since....
...I have been learning about how mac's with the $20 server software can centralize User Accounts, Profile Manager, ARD and several other useful things. I am just dying to get my hands on that and play with it with a couple of VM devices. Just killing me!! That is why I would so love to have the labs. Even if we had to schedule time for when we could be on one. Hopefully, the site can figure something out with that. It is very much needed! I can't stress it enough...
It sounds like you have your hands tied on the hardware end of not being able to deploy VM's on anything by mac. I don't know how and what exactly it is It Pro tv is able to do what it is you currently do.
All I know is there is a REAL need for it. I want to do things legally. I don't want to d/l hackintosh's for Intel processors. But w/o an affordable lab to play in, what am I going to do? Wait to learn on macs that come in for clients? No, I need a way of playing with it in a cost effective manner. I can just go buy a room full of macs just to play with. I do not have the kind of $$. The money I do have is for jump starting my Team. Apple can either get on board and help you guys deliver something great and you guys charge for it. Else it's some flavor of hackintosh. Booh on that Apple! Booh!! :(
Anyways. I thought if I put out the real needs of peeps out there like me, that perhaps you guys could do something with it.
Thank you ahead of time for you taking the time to read this and for your consideration of how in the world you can make this work for us and make Apple happy at the same time. Sounds like you guys need to discuss this, you and Apple - and bring us a solution. That is what I would love to see come out of this.
Thank you again for your time and help!
