The CSMA/CA on a wireless doesn't prevent collisions...I know strange,right. In a wireless, when two devices send out the jamming signal simultaneously, they will hear each other's jamming and do the default behavior--both computers will stop trying to send a jam and wait a random period of time before trying to send a jam again indicating it's readiness to transmit. So no ACK is needed.
Now, even though an ACK is not required before two computers try to resend. In a wireless scenario, transmission collisions are minimized because every transmission requires an ACK. When the sending device doesn't receive an ACK, it will re-transmit the last transmission again. This is because no ACK indicates a failure in the transmission.
