Hello all, I was curious if anyone could tell me where someone that want to be a system administrator and eventually work their way up to taking the ccna and ccnp could start?

If you have no experience at all. You may want to take a look beginning with CompTIA ITF+, this will introduce you to different fields within the world of IT. A system administrator is essentially support many if not all of these roles and fields on a network and with computers.
You also want to consider CompTIA A+ and Network+ for the desktop and networking fundamentals. This will give you knowledge in basic computer and end user support as well as the networking concepts and terminology you will need to have. If you're working in a Linux or Apple environment, you may want to consider at least linux foundation and the macOS show that we have. It's here you can begin with with your deeper dive into the CCNA to configure and troubleshoot actual networking equipment. Then your CCNP where you learn why as well how to do advanced configuration of networking
From that point, you may want to consider taking a look at Microsoft Server courses, Microsoft Azure that will help provide you with server and cloud admin knowledge and skills.
Having said that, you don't have to do any of that to just begin with your CCNP with you choose to. There is no prerequisite for you to start. But without some background, the challenge is a true uphill battle.

Agreed, lots of people skip the basic which is essential for a successful I.T Career. I passed the CCNA 200-301 but I'm currently going back and learning the basic, Network+ etc.

I agree wholeheartedly. Start with the IT Fundamentals from CompTIA, move to A+ and Network+. I'd toss a Linux cert (LPIC-1 or Linux+) too, and then a server certification... Microsoft Server.
