This particular question that I can see seems to be a process of elimination question.
A and C are false, neither of these will do what they say would happen.
D is false, even by the icons on the switches, they are layer 2 switches not layer 3 which means they cannot do the IP routing.
E is false, I see a single Router and 3 switches with no hubs at all.
B must be the answer by remaining.. I'm only guessing at this because the image I got looks cut off and I cannot fully see the image. I could be wrong. If VLANS were configured, you wouldn't have 6 broadcast domains and because each port on switch represents a collision domain, you wouldn't have 12 collision domains.

Ok thanks; I was just confused since there was just no obvious answer; by the way that is the only thing that showed up on the question; did not cut out any thing :) hehe. ya there was an absolute lack of clear cut information o that question.

Cisco Exams are fairly clear and straight forward in what they're testing you on. By that, I don't mean to say that they're study-free. What I mean is that Cisco doesn't kill us with verbosity to make you find an answer, either you know the answer or you don't. The problem with this question is that it will waste time on the exam. Cisco exams are good at giving you enough time to read the question and answer...also because you don't get to review the answers you've got one chance to get it right or wrong.
Now, I can't say this isn't familiar in terms of a concise diagram. I can promise you, it's enough to get the answer correct.

So the given diagram shows 2 routers connected at the top by serial connection, Router A show a directly connected SwitchA with another SwitchB connected. Router B shows a directly connected SwitchC and with SwitchD connected it it. You're asked to select a subnet mask that will provide enough subnets cover all networks shown.
You're pretty much told that RouterB has 4 VLANS (=4 subnets) and that RouterA has a single default VLAN (= 1 subnet). The little bit in the first paragraph ip subnet-zero is not enabled. This last bit of info tells us we're not allowed to use the zero subnet in our decision making.
Okay, so let's break it down. How many subnets must I create from the single given: 192.168.1.0/24 network? The answer is 5 (4 from RouterB side and 1 from the RouterA side) and I cannot start with the zero subnet. Let's look at our answers.
A. 255.255.255.128 or /25 = 2 subnets 192.168.1.0/25 and 192.168.1.128/25 (problem--not enough and using zero subnet)
B. 255.255.255.192 or /26 = 4 subnets 192.168.1.0/26, 192.168.1.64/26, 192.168.1.128/26 and 192.168.1.192/26 (problem--no enough subnets and using zero)
C. 255.255.255.252 or /30 = 64 subnets 192.168.1.0/30, 192.168.1.4/30...192.168.1.252/30 (problem--enough subnets..not enough host per subnet)
D. 255.255.255.240 or /28 = 16 subnets 192.168.1.0/28, 192.168.1.16/28...192.168.1.240/28 (problem--enough subnets, enough hosts per subnet...but doesn't meet the requirement of MAX number of host per subnet.)
E. 255.255.255.248 or /29 = 32 subnets 192.168.1.0/29, 192.168.1.8/29...192.168.1.248/29 (problem--same as above)
F. 255.255.255.224 or /27 = 8 subnets --Winner
192.168.1.0/27 cannot use
192.168.1.32/27
192.168.1.64/27
192.168.1.96/27
192.168.1.128/27
192.168.1.160/27
192.168.1.192/27
192.168.1.224/27
*7 useable subnets...when I only needed 5, max host per subnet.

OK I think you MUCH for the answers but got one last one; at least I hope it is the last one. While watching the CCENT ICND1 videos; And I wantched each and every one 5 times; you said that under global config that if you put in enable secret cisco123 and password cisco321 that if you did not get the secret password that it would fall back to the password cisco321; but during one of my practice tests they countered that information as one of the questions on the real test. Just wanted to make sure they did not get that right or wrong or what ever. Any Way I have attached a picture of the question that I received.

On this one, if I said it would fail back, I would be incorrect on this one. Beginning with Cisco IOS 12.2 and later, both cannot be active. You can configure both but both cannot be active simultaneously. If you set both, the enable secret will take precedence over the enable password.
I will try to add some Errata on that episode. Thanks for pointing that out...hate to have missed this one do my mouth moving before my brain!
