ITIL v4 MP Transition EXAM Failed
-
Hello Jo,
I think I need help passing the itil v4 mp transition.
I have just had more than 1 exam failed attempt.
Any advice as to answering questions and possible more practice test will be highly appreciated
I don't seem to know where things go wrong. Both Test results came equally graded but failed.
However, I am very confident of my answers to the exam questions. -
Hi Bright,
My 1st piece of advice to you has to be not to rush into booking another test at the moment, but take time to gather your thoughts and organise your study thoughts.
This is a transition exam and the pre-requisites are that you have, at a minimum, reached the MALC level in ITIL v3. This means that you not only have to know the new ITIL 4 material, but also have an in-depth familiarisation with the ITIL 3 material. The test questions are based on a knowledge of both.
Take time to review the ITIL 3 AND ITIL 4 MP material before your next test.
Whilst in the test remember that you are being tested as a MANAGING professional; this means that you are being tested at management level, so ensure that your answers reflect the actions of a manager and not a practitioner.
Take a look at this episode which I recorded with Vonne on her success with an ITIL exam. Whilst the exam might be different, the approach she took to studying will be very helpful for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTNLSyKtOR4
My recommendation would be to book your exam for a month from now, and take the time to review your ITIL3 material and follow the study tips from the video.
Good luck with your studies!

Exams are moving away from memorizing definitions to understanding how to apply them. This is across all tests. You need to apply the topics and understand the context.
