CentOS Installation on HP Pavilion dv6
-
I am trying to install CentOS 8 on an older HP Pavilion dv6, Creating the .iso went fine, but installation just locks up around the 63% mark and does not finish.
I'm not sure how to get the installation to finish, or if I'm doing things the right way. When I use Rufus to create the .iso, I'm not sure what to use - FAT OR FAT32. I tried NTFS, but that went horribly.

A little more info:
I skipped Rufus and re-formatted using Etcher. Lets me get further, but still stuck (different place now)... Getting "Installation source - Error setting up base repository."
I click into it, and get "Which installation source would you like to use?"
The only option I have to click is "On the Network," but I don't know how to configure that screen after clicking that.
Any help is appreciated, as I'd love to get this CentOS install finished.

And there is NO other option than "On the Network" under Installation Source.

Hi David
Looks like this bug may be fixed in the latest version of the net installer: https://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=16456
Did you try another fresh copy of the full DVD ISO on a new USB Flash drive and a different USB port? Did you also run hardware diagnostics to confirm no issues?
