How many virtual network adapters can you create?
-
I've been going through the MCSA video's and one of the questions you can read on a practice test that I don't think is covered is this...
How many virtual network adapters can you create on a Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V server?
Anyone know the answer? -
The question is a little misleading. We create virtual switches on the Hyper-V host, we create virtual network adapters within the virtual machines themselves.
Hyper-V does not impose any limits on the number of physical network adapters in the Hyper-V host, and does not impose any limits on the number of virtual switches you can create on the Hyper-V host. The practical limit depends on the available computing resources of the Hyper-V host.
There are some limits when it comes to the virtual machines themselves.
12 Virtual Network Adapters per VM

8 can be the "network adapter" type
-
4 can be the "legacy network adapter" type
4 Virtual Fiber Channel Adapters per VM
