Ah, all the Cisco hardware

@SRR,
The issue with the access points today is most of them are completely lightweight access points and still expensive even on the secondary market like ebay. Access Point Emulation is not yet possible. Having said that, you can find them on Ebay. But let's take a look at the exam blue print on wireless.
For the CCNA, here are the topics.
-
2.6 Compare Cisco Wireless Architectures and AP modes--No Wireless Access Point Required
-
2.7 Describe physical infrastructure connections of WLAN components (AP,WLC, access/trunk ports, and LAG)--No Wireless Access Point Required
-
2.8 Describe AP and WLC management access connections (Telnet, SSH, HTTP,HTTPS, console, and TACACS+/RADIUS)---No Wireless Access Point Required
-
2.9 Configure the components of a wireless LAN access for client connectivity using GUI only such as WLAN creation, security settings, QoS profiles, and advanced WLAN settings--No Wireless Access Point Required
*. If anything this is only objective that requires any configuration at all.. but you could try to ebayCatalyst 9800 Wireless LAN Controller
or justCisco Wireless LAN Controller.
Of all the things you need to do, it would be on the wireless access controller (WLAN Controller) rather than the access point themselves! Many of these access point require no real configuration. The issue here is expense. But it is available.
