Intermediate courses help with Foundations?
-
Hi Chris,
Do you think that there is an intermediate course that would help with understanding ITIL v4 Fundamentals?
I ask because I'm looking at doing multiple ITIL courses, and since the vouchers are good for quite some time, I could obtain access to an intermediate course before writing the Foundations course for the purpose of securing a good passing grade. So if the answer to the above question is "yes", which intermediate course would be best?
Thanks.

Hi @MichaelS
So sorry for the late reply as I've been teaching lots of ACI classes. When you say, "Intermediate" course, I'm assuming you are speaking of the ITIL 4 Specialist/Strategist courses and not the older ITIL 2011 Intermediate courses.
The ITIL 4 Foundation course will give you all you need to pass the Foundation exam. Adding the "Intermediate" level courses to what you watch would probably not be helpful. Here's why.
-
The Specialist courses assume you have the ITIL 4 Foundation knowledge so they skip right over anything that is foundational.
-
The Specialist courses will concentrate on several Practices that aren't covered in the Foundation material.
So I recommend watching the Foundation videos in their entirety and use those practice exams (Sample papers) that are downloadable for you to prep for the Foundation/Fundamentals exam.
Hope that helps!
