General GPO Question

@sam,
You've caught most of us on holiday. I haven't checked as often as I do.
Leave the GPO there and do not delete it. This will apply when a new computer is added to the where you applied it.
If you assign the policy to users. The software will only install for the users and only when that user logs in. If you assign the policy to the computer. The software will only install when the computer starts and is available to all users who logs into the computer.
I don't believe it harms anything to leave it alone and will only apply to computers that don't have the GPO applied.

Hey Sam,
I'm no expert on installing software through GPO although I have in the past attempted to install software through the gpmc within the company that I work for. With that being said, I have doing a little research and the software GPO that remains live will only install the software on computers that don't already have the program. I'm not 100% sure but this should not be reapplied to computers that already have the program installed on a computer unless you choose to read the employee the program like if you update the package.
You can also check out [https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/group-policy/use-group-policy-to-install-software]
Hope this helps,
Doug
