Prince2 Foundation and ITil4 Foundation
-
Hello,
Please I would like to receive advice. I am studying for Security+ and after pass it I am thinking to focus in project management. Should I continue with Prince2 Foundation and Prince2 Practitioner or first study for ITil4 Foundation taking in consideration that I am living in UK and Security+ is my first IT certification.

Hiya @Jose-Luis-Gutierrez
Sounds like you're on track for a great career in IT security project management! Based on what you've shared with me, here is how I would sort this out. First, go ahead and get your ITIL 4 Foundation certification. This gives you a lot of the "How tech helps my organization create value and why that's important." This is useful when talking with upper management and understanding the end game.
ITIL 4 FND feeds naturally into your next cert which is PRINCE2 Foundation. You have to take that before Practitioner regardless. Both of those will help build up your confidence and give you some time to gain some experience as well. The Practitioner certification aims to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding to apply and tailor the method in a range of different project environments and scenarios.
Wishing you the best in your endeavors Jose. Feel free to reach out anytime here in the forums for help or advice.
