@Denise-Mitchell, This is a weird hidden thing in the system. If you had make this a "ask a question" then you would have been presented the option (hidden--3 vertical dots) to mark as the answer. Yeah, not sure why the developers chose that but it's what it is!

I changed your post to "ask as a question." so if you want, you can go to my answer...choose the 3 vertical dots...there you'll the option.

I have just sent my assignments to the email address provided. I don't believe that email is any longer attached to the instructions in the course materials. I have looked through them several times and I couldn't find one. I assume the current instructions are provided in the materials you can download as part of the course.

i did hand in both the PO and the SM course and they got accepted in under 24 hrs. So, now i am playing with the possibility to actually do the PO exam as well ;)

In the exam content outline, this is the last topic covered, and in fact is something that is barely mentioned. However, in the exam you will see a question or two on the subject. PSM 1 is the foundational Scrum exam and thus the amount of material covered is not as large as perhaps a PMP or "overall" Scrum certification, but Anthony, Lauren and I do cover all you'll need for that certification. If you would want to go deeper, the PSM 2 and then PSM 3 expands upon these basic concepts.

I completely understand the "fuzziness" you are experiencing as the PMP was updated back in 2021, but it was not updated to reflect the PMBOK7. The CAPM was updated in January of this year (2023) and does reflect the PMBOK7. That's the short end of it.

Both of our courses that I teach here at ITPro are for the current exams offered. Rumor has it that PMI will release and update to the PMP soon and that it will be like the CAPM in that it references the PMBOK7. It will most likely reflect the changes we saw in the CAPM, like adding Business Analysis and more Agile topics. It will be a top priority here at ACI Learning and ITPro to get the course updated when that happens.

So, if you have the experience and meet the requirements, I would go ahead and take the PMP. I will warn you that the exam is more difficult than the CAPM. But we definitely prepare you to study and pass the PMP in our PMP Exam Prep course.

For some reason the pdf files from PMI have been changed and the ECO is also referenced as the CAPM Exam Reference Guide. I'll dig back through my older files. Just understand that the reference guide will be slightly off as it refers to the Pilot exam and not the final. The overall content will be still be accurate, just understand it might have some extra references that are unnecessary.

Server vs Serverless is all about design. So it really should depend on what you need to do as to which to choose.

I would say that this may be something you want to consult a network designer as to the workflows and workloads you need to accomplish and how best to accomplish that.

We do talk about some of the differences but not from a cloud design aspect of it.

Thanks for the question! We are currently looking at options for an assessment for our CAPM course. The course I just did with Lauren is up to date. You will have about 35-45% of questions on the 6th Edition that probably are similar to some of the questions on the updated exam. The big issue is that they have added Agile (Adaptive) and some Business Analysis questions. So keep your eyes peeled here and watch for any updates. I'll be sure to keep our channel updated on any changes and new materials available.

It is possible, but typically not done.

The PRINCE2 Quality Review technique is a Quality Inspection technique. It has defined roles and a specific structure to follow. The purpose is to inspect and ensure that a product is complete, that it respects the customer’s Quality standards and meets the Quality criteria listed in the Product Description.

Note: This technique checks if the product is complete and meets all quality criteria.

It does not include Product Approval, as the person listed in the Quality Register will not sign off until they see the product has been complete. After this, you can say the product is complete and is therefore baselined. So in theory, you can see how they could be the same person. But just to review from an exam perspective:

The Quality Review technique has four specific roles. The roles are:
Chairperson
Presenter
Reviewer
Administrator

So it breaks down to these responsibilities

Chair: This role is responsible for chairing the review meeting
Presenter: This role presents the products and represents the producers of the product.
Reviewer: This role reviews the products, submits questions and confirms corrections or improvements.
Administrator: This person provides admin support for the chairperson (e.g., taking minutes and recording results and next actions).

As these are roles, the minimum number of people involved in a Quality Review technique can be two: one person taking the chair & reviewer roles and another taking the presenter and administrator role.

The followings tasks can be done to get ready for a Quality Review meeting:

The chairperson will make arrangements for the review (invite, book room, etc.). They will also ensure that the product is ready for review
The presenter will distribute copies of the product to the review team with the Product Description
The reviewers can review the product against the Quality criteria in the Product Description and can also submit a question list to the chair ahead of the Quality review
The chair will send this question list to the presenter before the review meeting.

On a side note: The product can be reviewed and the reviewers can already give feedback before the Quality Review meeting. This can give time for the producer or presenter to address this feedback and prepare a response. This makes for a smoother & efficient Quality Review meeting.

I read much of the material you posted, but I was l still unsure whether I could use courses outside of PMI to count as PDUs. Thank you for your explanations and for confirming ITProTV as a valid continuing ed course for PMI. I am much appreciated!
I take advantage of the certificates of completion that ITProTV provides. I have used ITProTV courses for continuing education requirements to renew my ISC2, CompTIA, and EC-Council certifications. I think I will take the SCRUM courses next to count toward the PDU requirements. It looks like I would enter ITProTV courses under the Online or Digital Content section. I wish I could use ITProTV to renew Cisco Certifications

Happy to hear you are working towards getting some certifications in Project Management. @SIMON-TAPLIN is correct in that the PMP is one of the top certifications you can get. Government contracts require that all Projects be led by a PMP certified project manager. If you do work in Europe or other areas, the PRINCE2 certification is also a good one to pursue.

The PMP course will count towards the CAPM. You will need a certificate of completion once you've finished just in case they audit your CAPM application. You'll want to put down: "Project Management Professional Prep - 2021" and ACI Learning as your provider. That should suffice for the application. Best wishes on CAPM!

Sounds like you're on track for a great career in IT security project management! Based on what you've shared with me, here is how I would sort this out. First, go ahead and get your ITIL 4 Foundation certification. This gives you a lot of the "How tech helps my organization create value and why that's important." This is useful when talking with upper management and understanding the end game.

ITIL 4 FND feeds naturally into your next cert which is PRINCE2 Foundation. You have to take that before Practitioner regardless. Both of those will help build up your confidence and give you some time to gain some experience as well. The Practitioner certification aims to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding to apply and tailor the method in a range of different project environments and scenarios.
