Mearning of Derivation
-
Hi, I am studying the Prince2 Practitioner Course with Jo and Zach.
I have a query with Exercise 6 where we complete a Product Description Form for the Service Desk Move.
Under 'Derivation' the answer is the Meeting date of 1 October.
I looked up a definition of Derivation for Prince2 and found this
"Derivation, A description of source products, such as: A specification that informed the product's design."
Can you please explain how the meeting date fits in with the above.
Thank you.

Hello there @Kuljit-Martin ,
Just getting a chance to see your question after the Thanksgiving holidays. Your definition is correct and I will take a look at the exercise and see why they have that answer as soon as possible. Since Jo is no longer with us, I handle the Project management and ITIL segments. Thanks for using the forum!

I went ahead and looked at the Exercise. Here's why that is the correct answer. Derivation is the Source of where this information came from. The source was a Meeting held on 01-October. I hope that helped clarify for you! If you have any further questions, feel free to send me an email at cward@itpro.tv Good luck on your continued studies for PRINCE2 Practitioner.
