Best ways to achieve the CPD for ITIL4
-
Hi,
Since CPD has rolled out to the following ITIL 4 certifications, how can we prove professional experience within the My Axelos site? Is it just a ledger of your professional experience and what you did while using the ITIL 4 practices? Since I am fairly new to the whole ITSM subject domain, and Axelos now shifted to a yearly reporting requirement, are there any best practices I can do to keep on top of this? Also when can we see the updates to the ITIL Role Profiles on their website?

Hiya @Jonathon-Duncan ,
All great questions! I'll give you what I know as of right now based on what PeopleCert has given to us as an Accredited Training Organization (ATO).
Basically, PeopleCert is using MyAxelos as the tool to track CPD points. CPD points can be logged against individual or multiple certifications. For each Product Suite, you will need to submit at least 20 CPD points each year, across different CPD categories, for 3 years consecutively.
At the end of this period, your certification renew-by date will then be extended by 3 years, and the cycle will repeat.
These points must be submitted by the date on which you originally passed your most recent exam within the Product Suite. For example, if you originally passed the exam on 1st April, your 20 CPD points must be logged by 1st April each year.
As of today (April 5, 2023) they are offering a special extension if you purchase an annual subscription to MyAxelos. This means that your certificate(s) will remain current until 2026. You will also benefit from joining the MyAxelos community, where you can log your CPD points, manage your digital badges, and access articles, webinars and exam preparation materials. The extension will run in tandem with the MyAxelos subscription, meaning that if you subscribe today, your certification will extend to today’s date in 2026. This should provide you with sufficient time to continuously log your CPD points for three years.
I've attached the categories that they will accept CPD points from in a diagram. Currently I am unable to login to my.axelos.com to show what the interface looks like. I think their site is having issues. :-).

I am looking at this purchase to keep my ITIL Foundation active, do you have the link for where this was announced?

Thanks for reaching out! I had a question. Regarding your quote, "offering a special extension if you purchase an annual subscription to MyAxelos. This means that your certificate(s) will remain current until 2026." I cannot find where that specific language is on the website. When I go to checck out with the annual subscription, it has no mention about this "remain current until 2026." Can you help me find this?
