Vulnerability Management Roadmap

Hello,
Does anyone recommend any prerequisites to building a strong Security Engineering technical skillset. Which knowledge resources do you look at to learn more about CVE's?
Thanks,
Rashard

Hey @Rashard-Adams-0 great question, if you would like to learn more about CVE's you can use the CVE database from MITRE: https://www.mitre.org/. You can use NIST as well to search the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) for qualitative vulnerability metrics such the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS): https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln-metrics/cvss#

Hey @Rashard-Adams-0
I think a great start for getting into cybersecurity is the tried-and-true Security+
It has just about all the basics about cybersecurity and you get a nifty industry-standard certification to add to the old resume. If you're looking to learn more about CVEs then, I would say to follow Wes' advice and check out mitre.
All the best,
Daniel
