LPI Linux Essentials (010-160) - CentOS is discontinued - best replacement for exam study?
-
In the Linux Essentials course, it is recommended to be familiar with Ubuntu and CentOS for the LPI Linux Essentials (010-160) exam.
I currently use Ubuntu on my laptop but haven't tried RHEL or CentOS.In the ITPro course it mentions that if you are familiar with CentOS, you will be able to answer any questions about RedHat Linux.
Now that CentOS is discontinued what is the recommended distro to practice on and learn for the exam?
LPI hasn't updated the info on their website to address CentOS.Should I use Rocky Linux, or Alma Linux, or open a developer account with RedHat and get a copy of RHEL?
Thanks, Anton Witting

Hey @anton-witting great question! If you are looking for a good CentOS (RHEL-like) alternative, check out AlmaLinux: https://almalinux.org/
