SCCM PXE Boot issue
-
I am getting a "unable to find boot record" type error when the PC I am PXE booting reboots. I am using the BIOS method, AHCI and not RAID in the BIOS. I have tried formatting the drives with Diskpart. Still getting this error. Any suggestions? It seems the SATA hard drive is not being detected once it reboots. TIA.

Found this, and it points to a possible CMOS battery needing to be replaced. Check it out: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/687318/pxe-and-bootdevice-not-found-error/

@Calvin-Lake,
David has as good of starting place as any. I would check your CMOS settings to verify it does recognize still recognize the correct time. Then check it about 2 or 3 hrs later and see if there has been a significant time shift. If there has or if the battery is older than 3 yrs old, it may be time to replace it. It reads like it's not keeping the settings for your PXE boot setting or even your SATA controller.
