Static routing question.

Hello,
I have fairly simple question about static routing.
If you have a network configured with OSPF and you have Static routes configured and OSPF routes.
Which routes will be chosen if there is both a OSPF path and Static.
I would think with default administrative distance the path chosen would always be static over OSPF correct?
Or am I mistaken here?
Admin distance
Static 1
OSPF 110Sorry I am new to networking and trying to understand this better so I can pass my exam.
Thank You for your assistance.

Jonas,
You're correct in your assessment. Remember that a router has one routing table. This table is supplied routing via dyanamic routing protocols, networks that are directly connected and of course manually (administratively) entered routes.
Also remember that ONLY THE BEST ROUTE to a destination is entered into the routing table. When you have 2 routes to the same network, both are declaring themselves the best route, how is it decided? Then you have to decide based on the "believability" of the route. A route that is administratively created is considered to be explicitly what was intended. Whereas, a routing protocol is a calculated best route.
So you're not mistaken, you're well on your way to understand routing!
