Passed CCNA Security

I passed my CCNA Security exam!
With the enormous help of ITPro.tv I went from not having any Cisco knowledge to passing CCENT, CCNA R&S, and CCNA Security this summer.
As always, a HUGE thanks to Don, Ronnie, and everyone behind the scenes!

MAN! CCNA R+S, CCNA Security = CCNAx2 Congratulations from the ITProTV Team! You deserve a well deserved celebration!
You one of the reasons that make us strive every day to produce better and better content for our members!
I"m going to ask the same of you as I do of other successful members. Do you mind just posting about your study methods and habits that helped you in your success and how ITProTV worked into that. I think that's the way that you can help other members to become successful and make ITProTV the choice platform for so many others. Also tell your friends about us too! :)

I almost exclusively used the ITPro.tv course and the official cert guide. My most successful means of studying seems to be watching the entire course from ITPro.tv from start to finish without taking any notes or pausing. After that I'll read through the cert guide, my goal being at least one chapter a day if not two. Then I'll watch the ITPro.tv course again, this time pausing to take notes to study when I'm not in front of the computer. Hand writing my notes helps me retain the information better than typing them up.
With CCENT and CCNA R&S I bought the practice exams from Boson, but couldn't spare the money while studying for the CCNAS.
I bought the CCNA Security course from Live Lessons when it was on sale and was pretty let down. The content was sub par and the production value was surprisingly bad. The audio quality was scratchy at best and the levels were all over the place.
For anyone getting started in Cisco; I barely passed the CCENT on my first attempt. I failed ICND2 with a 801 on my first attempt. Went back almost three weeks later and got a 973. Passed CCNAS on my first attempt with a 978. Of the three, I found the CCNAS to be the easiest, especially the labs. I'd never touched a piece of Cisco gear before the beginning of the summer. You can do it!
Now onto the VCP-NV! (If you have a vaild CCNA R&S, you can bypass the mandatory course requirements of VMware, saving you thousands of dollars.)
Edit: I don't watch the whole thing in one sitting, I just don't stop to take notes on my first watching.

You and I are learning type twins. That's why I invested in a Live Scribe pen. There is just something about writing it out that makes it stick. I am from an era that teachers had you write out words and times tables 10 times each on a piece of paper.
I also find that audio notes are a major help. Turn all your notes into MP3s and listen to them instead of music on your commute or whatever.
