Virtual PPP
-
Hello,
So I've decided to just dive in and do my CCNP.
I am watching the "Configure PPP" video. I like to follow along with my own equipment but I don't have a serial link. I did see that doing a interface ? there is a Virtual-PPP interface.
What is that? Can I use that to practice my PPP skills? is it just like setting up a real PPP connection or are there some extra steps involved?
Thanks for the Vids.

If you're setting this up in GNS3, you just need to make sure you add a WIC -2T or some other serial card into the router. Then connect based on the serial cards.

Virtual-Template Virtual Template interfaceI have the same question for Frame relay. I see here that there is a MFR interface. What is that? I activated it just out of curiosity and all the frame relay commands seem to be there.
Maybe I should set up a GNS3 lab alongside VIRL just for these types of situations.

@Ronnie-Wong OMG Ronnie you are super awesome. I just downloaded GNS3 and in minutes I had a Frame relay lab set up.
