CCNP ROUTE - One down, two to go!
-
I just took and passed my CCNP ROUTE exam this afternoon. Outside of professional experience and some lab work (GNS3 is awesome), I once again relied solely on ITProTV for training and I can honestly say it was more than sufficient for what I needed to pass (942). Big thanks go out to Ronnie and Don for their great and comprehensive videos.

Very happy for you. Don't underestimate SWITCH though. I took SWITCH on Wednesday and failed. 760/1000 . I was 30 points away from passing :( Everyone said SWITCH was the easy one so I just went through all the ITpro videos and followed along with my own labs and thought it was enough. Should have spent a little more time practicing.
Anyway good luck!

Time and practice are key here. Remember that at the NP level it's not enough just to know WHAT to do, you must also know WHY and of course HOW. You're not far off from your pass. Let us know what we can do to help!

Thanks! That sucks about the close pass. I definitely plan on taking it seriously though I think for me, compared to the ROUTE, it will be easier to use prior knowledge to help in preparing. I've done exponentially more work on things like VLANS, STP, Etherchannel, etc. than I have configuring EIGRP or BGP in production environments. Though I imagine since it's a more common technology that Cisco may make the questions even harder to compensate.
I'm about 2/3s of the way through the videos and hope to sit for the exam in two weeks. A lot less videos than the route series.
The one I'm most apprehensive about is the TSHOOT.
