I do not believe so, In my opinion step 2 still encrypts the communication between the client browser and the "web server" or GUI connection on the network device. This keeps configuration data encrypted. if you do not use step 2, this would be close to "using telnet" or a cleartext protocol for your router config, instead of SSH, because you disabled remote management.

They've changed their content quite a bit, and I'm not the biggest fan of where they've taken the channel these days. I used to LOVE their computer hardware show with Patrick Norton and the guy from PC Perspective (sorry, his name escapes me at the moment). From this thread, it looks like it may require assistance by your administrator requesting IMAP access and possibly microsoft.

Dig into the CompTIA ITF+ (IT Fundamentals) first. If that stuff seems on the easy side (some stuff caught me up), try the A+ Core 1 series. Even though I've been in the IT field for almost 18 years, I found a lot in the ITF+ courses that I found valuable.

Not necessarily only about install base? With limited amount of resources, It is about the scope of work, availability of subject matter expertise, and scheduling of studio and resources, and course development time. It may be difficult to understand, not many DBAs want to teach about DB, they want to build it and optimize for a specific business case. The demands we've seen in the past were not so much about generic database skills, except for Transact-SQL but really about building for a business case. So install base doesn't constitute a demand, unless there is an actual demand.
