MS Cert / MS Learning sites
-
Probably a long shot to ask here for this one, but does anyone know where the microsoft certification sites are if they have moved? I have been watching MCSA and I'm working in the server admin field now. I'm trying to come up with some more detail on the certification track so I can plan things out but I can't seem to get to their sites.
I'm just wondering if they've moved, it would seem all of the cached search results in google lead to non-existent pages. -
Christopher,
I'm not sure the sites did move or didn't move. I googled and was able to get to the MSCA certification site using the following link: https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mcsa-certification.aspx
The site focused in on the MSCA in Server 2012 I was able to browse using the following link:
https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mcsa-windows-server-certification.aspx

Then it must be something on my local machine at home then, i'll track it down. I keep getting redirected to a custom error page saying the resource can't be found. Thanks Ronnie.

Christopher,
I have had the same thing happen to me (live during a show!) so it might not just be you. Are you using Google Chrome? For me, something would go wrong with Chrome's caching of the Microsoft training page resulting in that error. If I browsed using an incognito window I could get the pages just fine. I haven't had that issue with any pages other than Microsoft's certification pages.

I am indeed and I discovered the same thing with incognito mode. So I had to clear Chrome's history since the dawn of time. I couldn't find a decent reference to just clear the site's information at first because your typical control + F5 wasn't fixing it.
However, if you hit CTRL + SHIFT + I and open the Chrome dev tools, then click (and HOLD) the reload button while they are open, a super-secret menu comes up that lets you force the cache clear and reload. This resolved it in my situation.
Gotta love quirks like that. Incidentally after Ronnie's post I tried IE (not sure why I didn't before posting) and saw it was working. Can only assume maybe something between chrome and Microsoft's federation setup/Live logins causing strange behavior.
