The password protections placed on some of the ITIL documents are to prevent manipulation of the information and directly copy/paste its contents. Printing should be allowed. When I studied for the ITIL 4 Foundation exam I printed the sample exams and a number of slides from Jo's presentation.

Congratulations on your achievement! Thanks ever so much for the feedback on the MP Transition course. I's always good to hear that the course helped someone with accreditation.

The ITIL SL designation will be released within the next couple of months, and to qualify for the SL you will need to have passed both the DPI and DITS courses. The DPI course is currently in production (and updated in the library as production progresses). It will be our intention to produce DITS also.

I would start with DPI as that is currently available to you, and then progress as the new course becomes available towards SL accreditation.

We usually provide answer keys for all associated files and I , but I would like to help you figure this out. Can you share the file names or folders if it's in our files?

It's true that Foundation exams are generally the toughest in terms of studying because it's the foundation that all terms and definitions are introduced and must be referred to in order to lay the foundation for the implementation and subsequent studies in ITIL. I know that your accomplishment involved a lot of hard work, so well done!

For utility we're looking at the aspects of a service that meet the functional needs of the consumer. This means that there are elements of the 4 warranty processes you have mentioned, as well as a reliance on Business Relationship Management, Service Portfolio Management, Service Catalogue Management, Service Level Management, Change Management, and also Financial Management to a certain degree.

To be honest there are very few processes that don't have an influence on the utility aspect of a service.

Exams are moving away from memorizing definitions to understanding how to apply them. This is across all tests. You need to apply the topics and understand the context.

We work with our partners Passion IT for our ITIL content. All of the materials we received from them is in the downloadable resources. Axelos does have a sample paper which can be found:https://www.axelos.com/certifications/itil-certifications/itil-intermediate-level/release-control-and-validation You will need to create a member profile, but all framework sample papers plus supplementary materials are available on their website.

You are completely correct in that there are no definitive "answers" to the exercises provided in the course as these were intended as classroom exercises which are more discussion topics than right / wrong answers.

I have reached out to our partner, but I am more than happy to answer any specific question or concern that you may have relating to ITIL Practitioner concepts or content. If there is a topic that you would like additional clarification on, then please let me know and I will record an answer and put it in the library so that everyone can access the information.

It is worth noting that recording for ITIL4 topics is now well underway and that these will be available as soon as possible near to release dates. The ITIL4 content encompasses the ITIL 3 Practitioner concepts and so you will find all of the topics expanded on in the ITIL 4 series when they become available.

Exams for the ITIL 3 (2011) courses will be phased out gradually over the next year - 18 months.

Good morning Jo,

So there is a difference in terminology? I understand that each organization will need to custom fit each framework and concept for itself. I just want to make sure that when taking the tests for DevOps certification, I understand the terminology as it is used for the DevOps and how it may differ from ITIL. So when DevOps uses the term "release", is that equivalent to "deploy" in ITIL and when DevOps uses the term "deploy" is that equivalent to "release" in ITIL?
